UK / US progressive heavy metal band ALCHEMY FIRE have released a new video for the song “Native Son” from their self-titled debut album.

Native Son is our second video from our album “Alchemy Fire”. I’ve always had an affinity towards the Native American culture. It’s shameful that we pretend their suppression isn’t happening anymore. As I was driving recently through northern Arizona on my way to Las Vegas, seeing the mobile homes with wooden planks over what used to be windows made me cry. Seeing signs saying, ‘Please don’t feed the homeless’ like they aren’t even human reminds me how cruel we humans can be. In the Chorus, “I am a Native Son, Apache to Wompanoag…” The Wompanoag tribe is on Cape Cod where I used to live. They are beautiful people. – David Reed Watson
